12 Mar Graphic Designer Paul Rand Told UPS, “That’s it!”
Did you know? Paul Rand (born Peretz Rosenbaum, (August 15, 1914 — November 26, 1996) was an American graphic designer, best known for his corporate logo designs, including the logos for IBM, UPS, Enron, Westinghouse, ABC, and Steve Jobs’ NeXT. In 1961, he designed the third evolution of the UPS logo. He walked into their office and presented them with ONE option. They asked if he had anything else. “That’s it,” he replied.
The logo was used from 1961 until 2003, when UPS needed something new to represent their expanding services beyond that of just package delivery. #branding #marketing #paulrand #freshfierceforward #ups
