Michelle Walker Lawson is a Creative Director, artist, marketing strategist, and visual storyteller with more than 20 years of experience helping brands connect with people in meaningful and memorable ways.

As Co-Founder and Creative Director of Out Front Brands, Michelle combines strategy, creativity, and real-world customer insight to build brands that feel both visually compelling and emotionally authentic. Her work includes creative direction, experiential marketing, visual storytelling, campaign strategy, brand experience design, content direction, photography, copywriting, social media strategy, event marketing, and creative production across both corporate and entrepreneurial spaces.

She is especially passionate about creating marketing that feels human. The kind that makes people stop scrolling, feel something, remember something, or want to become part of an experience.

Michelle is also an early adopter of AI-assisted creative tools and understands how to thoughtfully integrate emerging technology into modern marketing workflows. She regularly uses AI to support brainstorming, content development, campaign planning, creative exploration, and production efficiency, while still grounding every project in authentic storytelling, human connection, and strong visual direction. She believes the most effective creative work happens when technology and human creativity work together, not in competition with one another.

Before co-founding Out Front Brands, Michelle served as Marketing Manager and Creative Director for FIS Loyalty Services. There, she helped launch and market new loyalty and payments products while supporting branding and marketing initiatives for more than 30 existing financial products and services. During her tenure, she led the national branding and launch strategy for ScoreCard® Retail Rewards and helped pioneer one of the company’s earliest large-scale B2C social media engagement campaigns, growing an active online audience from zero to more than 20,000 followers in under a year.

In addition to her agency work, Michelle serves each year as Marketing Manager for the annual UPICK season at Twin Creeks Lavender Farm. From Memorial Day weekend through the Fourth of July season, she oversees campaign strategy, social media storytelling, experiential event promotion, visual branding, customer engagement, and creative content development for one of the region’s most recognized seasonal agritourism experiences.

Her work at the farm has helped grow the lavender season into far more than a shopping destination. Through thoughtful branding, immersive events, and emotionally-driven storytelling, she has helped create an experience centered around community, hospitality, creativity, and connection.

Michelle’s background also includes professional photography, creative consulting, product branding, experiential activations, and campaign development for clients across the retail, tourism, hospitality, healthcare, nonprofit, outdoor recreation, and motorsports industries.

Selected clients include Yamaha Marine USA, Yamaha Motor Sports Canada, Big Rock Sports, GNC, Guerrilla Marketing International, International Diamond Center, The Florida Chiropractic Association, Florida Blood Services Foundation, and Advanced Imaging Group.

Outside of her agency and consulting work, Michelle is also an artist and maker known for her colorful handcrafted brands, illustration work, and whimsical product collections inspired by animals, storytelling, creativity, and human connection. Her work often blends fine art sensibility with handcrafted detail, bringing together marketing, design, and emotional storytelling in a way that feels imaginative, approachable, and deeply personal.

“Michelle brings a unique combination of creative vision, marketing strategy, and emotional intelligence to every project she leads. Her ability to build meaningful customer experiences through branding, storytelling, and visual marketing has made a lasting impact on our business and our community.”
